Crawler Access & Indexing Auditor
Audit robots.txt, crawler access, sitemaps, canonical signals, and indexing directives.
CRAWL & INDEX INTELLIGENCE
Know who can reach your website.
And why access is allowed or blocked.
A live audit of crawler access controls: interpret robots.txt, test server responses, trace sitemaps, and expose conflicts between crawl and indexing decisions.
- Declared policy + live response
- Search and AI crawlers
- Explainable, exportable report

Six layers in one report
From raw directives to an actionable decision.
robots.txt engine
User-agent groups, rule precedence, wildcards, end anchors, errors, and non-standard directives.
Crawler matrix
Declared policy and live responses for Google, Bing, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Perplexity.
Sitemaps
Discover sitemap indexes and child files, count entries, and detect Googlebot conflicts.
Indexing decisions
meta robots, X-Robots-Tag, canonical, and their relationship to crawler access.
Host normalization
HTTP, HTTPS, www, and non-www: do they converge on one destination or create fragmented copies?
Pre-deployment simulator
Test any path against every crawler using published rules and identify the winning rule and line number.
What does the score measure?
Consistency—not preference.
You may block GPTBot while allowing OAI-SearchBot, or block an entire section from Googlebot. The tool does not treat blocking as an error. The score drops when the file is unavailable, rules conflict, a sitemap contradicts the policy, or a WAF blocks a crawler the policy allows.
Important: The report measures current access eligibility and signals; it cannot prove that a search engine has actually indexed the page.
Understanding the result
Details that prevent incorrect decisions.
Does robots.txt prevent a page from appearing in search?
It primarily controls crawling. A URL may still appear without a snippet if discovered elsewhere. To prevent indexing, use noindex while allowing the crawler to read the page.
Why inspect both policy and live response?
A rule may allow a crawler while Cloudflare or the WAF returns 403 or 429. The policy is then correct but practical access fails.
Does llms.txt affect the score?
No. It is shown only as an emerging optional signal. Its absence is not penalized and it is not presented as a replacement for robots.txt.
Is this an SEO audit tool?
No. It does not grade content, keywords, headings, links, or performance. SEO auditing remains a separate system so each result stays precise and understandable.
